Holy crap. It was indeed all wiped. $500 to recover... we likely won't. I've just realised that I actually have backed up my bookmarks, so will get my brother to send it to me from Adelaide, although I will have likely lost a good portion of it all. Thanks to my semi-recent paranoia of this kind of thing, I also have a backup disk of my drive and (hopefully) my desktop. I've yet to look at it and see how recent, but not all is lost.
